Ju Ki Do

Ju Ki Do, when translated to English, literally means “The Gentle Powerful Way.” The style, inspired by 15 traditional martial art disciplines was founded by Kyoshi Ivan Ujueta in 1988.

The primary philosophy of Ju Ki Do is to disable a man from going wrong and enable him to go right. Our current society is rapidly losing the concept of value for human life. This is evident by the ever increasing atrocities committed against one another on a daily basis. The mindset of vengeance and self-justification runs rampant through our communities. Ju Ki Do Fitness

Drawing from the techniques learned through Ju Ki Do and combined with a structure inspired by high intensity interval training (HIIT), Ju Ki Do Fitness is a full body fitness program designed to target cardiovascular, core, upper, and lower body fitness. Deeply rooted in Ju Ki Do martial arts training, the Ju Ki Do Fitness program benefits the body, mind and the spirit.

The “secret” of Ju Ki Do Fitness is that unlike other fitness programs, it is not designed to focus on weight loss and body image. The program is designed to focus on personal capability. The “Journey” in Ju Ki Do Fitness parallels the journey of Ju Ki Do Martial Arts training, which is simply to be on a “quest to be your best!”
